Flowers Made of Money? Floral Merchant’s Fall Victim to Valentine’s Day Fraud

A newly identified fraud practice is targeting floral merchants.



Recently fraudulent customers are placing orders for flowers using stolen credit cards. The customers are requesting that the florists wrap the floral arrangements in cash and bill the total amount to the credit card provided. Some fraudulent orders have even reached $4,000.00. Credit Card Payment Surcharges and Fees - Are you in violation?

If you charge your customers a fee to pay by credit card, you are in violation of a heavily pursued rule of Visa and MasterCard.
